About Us
We are Steve and Beth Sharp, and of course our three sons, Ryan, Andy, and Josh. Beth and I grew up and currently reside in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Stoughton is a small town in south central Wisconsin, and is well known for it’s Norwegian heritage and celebrations.
Leisure and vacation time have always been a big part of our lives. While we have visited many places, one of the best and most often visited has been right in our own back yard, so to speak. We have made excursions on many occasions to the Wisconsin Dells. Our parents took us when we were kids, we had great times here with friends in our late teens, we started taking our own children, and now we like to take weekend excursions for just the two of us. We hope you enjoy your trip to the Dells as much as we have over the past 40 years.
I grew up in the home building and lumber business. I was on the jobsite pounding nails at age five (mostly bent nails), and drafting home plans by the age of fourteen, mentored all by my very patient father. Most recently, I have been a 17-year employee of Amerhart, a wholesale building material company based in Wisconsin. The company is family owned and has been very successful in the Midwest.
Beth has been employed and involved with children’s education in private and public schools for many years. And of course Beth had a more than full time position raising anywhere from 1-4 boys since we married in 1978, and to this day continues to say she still loves us! She is a very patient and loving young woman.
We were both blessed with parents with basic traditional family values, and they were not afraid to use them. We in turn were blessed with three healthy baby boys, and are doing our best to pass on those same values. Boys grow up, and as of the year 2006, Ryan, Andy, and Josh have either graduated from high school or college, or are currently attending college.
Ryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2003, and was recently engaged to a beautiful young woman, Jasmine. Wedding plans to follow for the summer of 2007.
Andy graduated from the University of Wisconsin in the spring of 2006, and is working towards operating his own website marketing business. Andy has been primarily working on this specific website and has been instrumental in bringing his parents into the 21st century with regards to computers and websites.
Josh will be a freshman at the University of Wisconsin the fall of 2006. Josh has also been busy assisting us with the building of this website. It is truly amazing all that is involved with this endeavor.
We have been actively involved in community, youth sports, coaching, church, and family activities over the years. I was totally involved with a group of young soccer players for just about 20 years now. I coached my son Josh’s team since the boys were just 5 years old, and recently retired from coaching, as he has now graduated from High School. The boys were very successful over the years as regional champions and ended a great and final high school season as conference champions.
We hope you enjoy your journey in the Dells and that our information helps you and your family. If you have any comments or personal experiences about your trip you would like to share please feel free to contact us at any time.
